GEL MANICURE

Gel manicure is a new type of manicure many nail salons offer in this day. It becomes trending and more  popular among women . This new method uses a special type of polish that sticks quickly to the nail, dries in seconds, becomes rock hard, and when applied correctly can last for up to three weeks.

Through this article, we can have a closely look about this new trend with its both good and bad side.
Advantages:
1.  Gel manicures are not the same as acrylic or artificial nails; they are simply a method to get nail polish to last far longer than it normally would. Almost every step of a gel manicure is the same as a regular manicure except the nails are cured under an ultraviolet light for a minute or two. In case you're wondering, this ultraviolet light exposure is too weak to be considered harmful to skin.
2.  The most advantage that people prefer a gel manicure is because it's odorless, has a realistic look and feel, and is usually long-lasting. Gel nails also don't need lift, polish, or backfills, and when removed properly, don't damage the nail like acrylic nails sometimes do. Additionally, the polish acts as a shield against anything that might weaken, harm or damage the nails, such as moisture or other elements.
Disadvantages:
3.  Despite this, these treatments tend to be more expensive than other types of manicures, and do have to be maintained to keep looking good. Moreover,  gel nails are generally long-lasting and don't chip, people do have to take special care when removing them, and the application process may be associated with health problems.
4.  The only real disadvantage to gel manicures is that removing the polish is not good to nails and is a rather complicated process. Nails are either soaked in an acetone-based nail polish remover for up to 10 minutes or each nail is tightly wrapped with a small piece of cotton soaked in an acetone-based polish remover covered with a small piece of aluminum foil for 10-15 minutes. Sometimes the excess polish is so haedtrong it actually needs to be filed or manually chipped off, which explains why it can last for up to three weeks without cracking or peeling. Like other fake nails, if they get caught on something they can tear a person's natural nails off, which is very painful and can lead to infections. Some people also have concerns about the exposure to UV light needed to cure the nails, since type of light can increase a person's chances of skin cancer. The time and level of exposure that would be needed to cause cancer is generally much greater than most people experience during manicures though. Dermatologists recommend that people apply sunscreen to their hands before getting a gel manicure to be safe, and to get these types of treatments in moderation.
It’s clearly everyone wants to apply this hot trending. But we suggest you should try it at home as soon as having a gel manicure done by professional the first few time to see how it done to get the best result.
